Obituary of Hugh Lee Spearman

Hugh Lee “Pop” Spearman, 87, husband of Jeanette James Spearman, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 28, 2016.
Mr. Spearman was born in Pendleton to the late Fred Cleo Spearman and Vennie Idel Murphy Spearman. He retired from W.R. Grace and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Randy Spearman and Tim Spearman; two daughters, Carol Watts and Martha Sue Jones; a sister, Sara Cain; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Edna Sue Evans; a son, Brian Spearman; two brothers, Gordon Spearman and Herman Spearman; a sister, Irene Hopkins; and a grandson, Todd Spearman.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Temple Baptist Church. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in Graceland East Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 11:30 am until 12:45 pm.
