Obituary of Isadore Edward "Issie" Sanders

Isadore Edward “Issie” Sanders, 79, of Simpsonville, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Born in Hilda, SC on December 3, 1938, he was the son of the late Paul Sanders and Lois Dixon, and the husband of the late Glenda C. Sanders. Issie was a longtime member of Simpsonville United Methodist Church, where he served on the Board of Trustees. He was very active at church, leading bible studies and coaching basketball. He loved spending time with his family, especially at his property in Surfside Beach.

Issie is survived by his daughters, Allison Smith and Beth Jackson (Steve); grandchildren, Ashley Sanders, Keeley Smith, Wil Smith, Cory Jackson (Kristin), Cameron Jackson, and Maddison Jackson; and sisters, Barbara Jane Terrapin (Fran), Loretta Harley, and Delores McIntosh (Norwood).

The funeral service for Mr. Sanders will be held at 12 o’clock on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Simpsonville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Joel Jones and Rev. George Riser officiating. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to the service, beginning at 11 o’clock. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park.
