Robert “Bobby” Houston Sims, 90, husband of Mary “Hazel” Thomas Sims for 65 years, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 30, 2022. Bobby was born in Fountain Inn to the late J. Rue Sims and Virginia Lois Pressley Sims. Bobby was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church. He was gifted mechanically, could build practically anything and could fix most everything. Bobby leaves a legacy of working hard, doing for others and being faithful to his family. He enjoyed mowing his lawn and making changes to his mowers to suit his needs. Bobby was a simple, happy man and could find a way to laugh even during the most difficult times. Most of all, he loved his wife and family and being “Beepa” to his grandchildren. Surviving, in addition to his wife are a daughter, Cindy Weathers with husband Barry; three sisters, Linda Martin, Helen Storay and Betty Yeargin; a brother, Jimmy Ray Sims; a grand-daughter, Amy Carmack with husband Cody; a grandson, Brandon Sims; great-grandson, Cole Carmack.
