Forest Branton Duckett, II, 55, loving husband of 11 years to Chong Xu Duckett, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 16, 2022. Mr. Duckett was born in Greenville to Forest Branton Duckett, Sr. and the late Lucille Ann Duck Duckett. Forest was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was known to be a problem solver. His creativity and his handiness were second nature, and he always lent a hand to others without hesitation. Forest was an involved and patient “Baba" and “Daddy” to Trip and Song. Surviving, in addition to his wife and father, are a son, Forest Branton “Trip” Duckett, III; daughter, Ann Song "Bunny" Duckett; three sisters, Dr. Lynn Millwood; COL Cheryl Allen, USAF, RET with husband COL Greg Allen USAF, RET; and Becky Duckett with husband Dave Matthews; niece, Rebekah Matthews; one aunt; and many loving cousins. The family will receive friends from 10am-12pm Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service. The first hour will be a visiting time, with the second hour being a time for a Memory Video Recording. During this time, family and friends are invited to share a memory (2 minutes suggested) that will be a gift for Trip & Song in the future. A Celebration of Forest’s Life will be 12 noon at Fletcher Funeral Service. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park.
