Obituary of Ok Sun Choie Wiles

Ok Sun Choie Wiles, 84, wife of Lawrence Douglas Wiles for 48 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. Mrs. Wiles was born in the Kumbukbo Province of Taegu, South Korea to the late Phak Pi Choie and Shin Sun Oak. She was a member of First Baptist Simpsonville. Ok Sun taught cooking classes and practiced crochet, making a blanket for each newborn in Fairview Street Baptist Church during her time there. She enjoyed gardening and was frequently honored with the yard-of-the-month by the Fountain Inn Garden Club. She was a lifelong learner and a long-time instructor of cooking classes. Ok Sun was fond of collecting elephant figurines throughout her lifetime. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Rachael Wiles and future son-in-law, Jake Fuller; and a grandson, Jaeden. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Cholmin Wiles. A Celebration of Ok Sun’s Life will be 2:30 pm Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Services. Burial will follow at Cannon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for 30 minutes prior to the service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
