Obituary of Al "Top" Knight

Albert Gerald “Top” Knight, 84, husband of the late Emily Faye Webb Knight, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 3, 2022. Mr. Knight was born in Fountain Inn to the late John Marcus “J.M.” Knight, Sr. and Lucy Neil Collins Knight. He sold cars for over 40 years up-and-down the motor mile. Top was a proud veteran of the US Air Force. He loved playing golf and taking trips to the beach. He was a huge fan of Clemson Tigers football and the St. Louis Cardinals. Top enjoyed breakfast at Hardees and going to the post office to check his mail. He was proud to be from Fountain Inn and was very sentimental about his family. He loved cats and took time every day to feed the strays. Surviving are two sons, Keith Knight with wife Karen, and Darren Knight with wife Susan; three daughters, Wendy Williams, Cindy Bates with husband Chris, and Alison Pope with husband David; and nine grandchildren, Ronnie Harris with wife Brittany, Ryan Knight, Dustin Webb, Brock Webb, Demi Webb, Evan Alfaro, Joseph Pope, Lorin Trescott with husband Wesley, and Kellen Bates. He was predeceased by a brother, John M. Knight, Jr.; and a sister, Ruth Morton. A Celebration of Top’s Life will be 4:30 pm Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
