Harold and Darlene Alverson posted a condolence

Harold and I could and will talk and laugh for hours about Buddy! He never met a stranger and everyone was a friend. Buddy was a sweet, kind, thoughtful and helpful man. One of the most special things about Buddy was his love of others but especially children. I was Buddy’s sis-er-o and Stacey, Amy were always “our Girls” to him and Faye. Every birthday we knew we would get a call from Uncle Buddy. Buddy can never be replaced, I pray that all those lives that were touched by Buddy will come to know Jesus and to show love to others as he did. No words can say how you will be missed.

I loved seeing Mr Ellenburg come through the drive thru at the bank. He had a light about him whenever I saw him. And loved talking about his family. I am truly going to miss Mr Ellenburg. Sending lots of love and prayers to the whole family. And thank you for your service - with Love, Kimberly Cullen(Wells Fargo)

With so many memories to choose from , this is one of my faves. Daddy would call me and say “Tiger, dear old Dad is going for a walkabout”, that was code for
“I’m going to Goodwill “.

I am so very sorry for you Fay as your love for one another shown thru and always happy. Anita and Lisa you 2 were so lucky to have great role models. I remember Buddy sending Rick off to Ft Jackson and then he and I went down there for a day. I will always remember those moments and stayed some with them in Asheville. So inspirational and fun to be around. Teresa Powell (prev Lancaster) Thanks for the memories. You were my favorite Uncle! Love to all of you.
