Obituary of Ronald Firemark

Ronald “Ron” Firemark, 73, husband of Mary Firemark for 12 years, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 18, 2022. Mr. Firemark was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Gustav Firemark and Marguerite Tretola Firemark. Ron retired from Walbaums after 35 years. After retirement Ron and Mary moved from Long Island, NY to South Carolina. His goal after retirement was to have a “house on the hill” and spend time with his family. Ron enjoyed car shows, cooking, and beach trips with family. He was a NASCAR and Yankee fan. Most of all, he was a family man, and loved being “Poppy” to his grandchildren. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Lucas Firemark, John Ross Santoro (Melinda), and Salvatore Santoro (Alexis); four daughters, Michelle Crane (Michael), Victoria Firemark (CiCi), Kimberly Firemark, and Alex Firemark; brother-in-law, Joe Soller; eleven grandchildren, John Anthony Santoro, Giavanna Crane, Angelina Crane, Vincent Crane, Giuliana Crane, Gabriella Crane, Gianna Santoro, Arianna Santoro, Salvatore Santoro, Faith Santoro, and Keith Oberland; and two great-grandchildren, Chloe Oberland and Carter Oberland. A memorial service will be held 3:30pm Thursday December 29, 2022 at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 2-3:30pm. Ron’s favorite quote, “Neva Betta”.
