Obituary of Sheila Hooper Mullinax

Sheila Hooper Mullinax, 84, widow of Robert Grady Mullinax (married 46 years), went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2023.
Mrs. Mullinax was born in Hamburg, NC, to the late Nelson Ledru Hooper and Madeline Chipps Hooper. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and retired from Bank of America after more than 40 years of service. She enjoyed cooking and gardening, was a devoted mother and grandma, and loved caring for her beloved dog Blondie.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Mullinax (New York City) (Johanna) and Jeffrey Mullinax (Tanja) (Frankfurt, Germany), a daughter, Susan Mullinax, and a grandson, Cameron A. Mullinax (Tampa, FL). She was predeceased by two brothers, Jimmy Hooper and Nelson Hooper Jr.
A memorial gathering will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday at the family home.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the first responders of Canebrake Fire Department Station #1 for the dedication and care given to Mrs. Mullinax, as well as the U.S. Renal Care, Powderhorn.
