Obituary of Willie Mae Douglas Norris

Willie Mae Douglas Norris, 93, widow of Willie Dacus “W.D.” Norris, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 5, 2023. Mrs. Norris was born in Laurens County to the late Toy and Naomi Pennington Douglas. She loved the Lord and all of her family. Willie Mae was much more than an aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was like a second mom to them because she had no children of her own. Surviving, are a brother, Rev. Troy Douglas; a special cousin who was like a brother, J.C. Wilson; nieces, Lynn Haughwout and husband Rick, Gail Gurley and husband Dave, Kay Barron and husband Ronnie, Cheri Douglas and Revonda Douglas and husband Pat Newton and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Roy Douglas and T.H. Douglas; three nephews, Gary Douglas, Garrett Douglas and Gerald Douglas and three sisters-in-law, Sarah Douglas, Evelyn Douglas and Corrie Douglas. Funeral Services will be 3pm Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Highland Home Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
