Obituary of Frankie Joe James

Frankie Joe James, 75, husband of Carolyn Owen James for 52 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Mr. James was born in Greenville to the late Clyde C. James and Esther Louise Hamilton James. Frankie was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Wilson Trucking. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and lending a helpful hand. Frankie loved spending time with his family and being a “Papa”. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Stacey Evans (Glenn) and Jennifer White; three brothers, Larry James (Linda), Rickie James (Diane), and Steve James; three sisters, Carolyn Terry (Joe),Violet Neely (Franklin), and Linda Boren; a son in-law, Chad White; five grandchildren, Brian Thrift (Shannon), Brittney Thrift, Haley White, Colin White, and Avery Eller; and a great-grandson, Jax Thrift. He was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Loudermilk and Jessie James; and a sister, Louise Hood. No services are planned at this time.
