JC was the best Captain ever. He was always calm and everyone that worked for him loved him. They broke the mold when he was made. I will always have a special place in my heart for JC and the whole Sims family.

Mom and I just got a call at 7:00 pm tonight (Monday) about JC/Uncle Jimmy’s death. We are both so sorry to hear of his passing over the weekend. We thought the world of him and know he will be greatly missed. We will remember you in our prayers. Love, Syble and Teresa Skinner

JC was a great guy, father, husband and friend! He will be sorely missed by all of the many people who had the privilege of knowing him. There was not a better Game Warden or friend than JC Sims! RIP JC.

There is not enough time or space to fill in about Mr.JC Capt. Sims. He was one of this nicest caring men that I have ever known. It was definitely an honor and privilege to have served with him as a DNR Law Enforcement officer but he also was such a great supervisor as my Captain. He and his wife Ann were the best of the best. He will be greatly missed but he will always hold a special place in my heart as such a kind good man and great friend. My prayers go out to all his family and friends. God Bless!

JC Sims was a great person, friend, father, husband, Game Warden and most of all Grandfather! He will be sorely missed by everyone who had the privilege to know him. He taught me so much over the 30+ years that I have known him. RIP Captain Sims! You’re work is done here.
