Rachel Bohnenberger, 97, devoted wife of the late Gustav Bohnenberger passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Born in North Arlington, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Antonio Emma and Maria Rizzo Emma. Rachel had numerous hobbies and interests including gardening, golf, and playing bridge. She took pride in her home and those who knew her well would attest to her being a meticulous housekeeper. Rachel will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Rachel is survived by her four children, Ron Bohnenberger (Penny), Gary Bohnenberger (Martha), Linda Cameron (Mike) and Nella McCorkle (Julian); eleven grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Lesser.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Binsky and Josie Thunnel; and four brothers, Abe Emma; Mike Emma; Paul Emma; and Sam Emma.
A Celebration of Rachel’s Life will be Sunday, April 21st, 2024 at 2pm at Mountain Hill Community Church, 34 The Cliffs Parkway, Landrum, SC 29356
