Lloyd David Cooley, Jr., 84, husband of Audrey Owens Cooley, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Carrie Davis Cooley. David enjoyed going to Lake Hartwell and Ft. Lauderdale and loved to fish. He was a big fan of the Clemson Tigers. David was also a handyman and do-it-yourselfer. He loved spending time with family and especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 48 years, David is survived by two sons, Terry Cooley (Debbie) and Doug Cooley; two step children, Robbie McDaris (Sunshyn) and Dawn Wood (Doug); four grandchildren, Stephanie Elmore (Brandon), Devan Cooley, Trevor Wood, Justin Wood, Weylyn McDaris, and Aiden McDaris; and a sister Mary Jo Hitt. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by an infant son, Wayne Cooley and a sister, Lenora Holmes.

The family will visit with friends at Greenville Memorial Garden in the mausoleum chapel on Thursday, December 5, 2024 beginning at 1:00 pm. A Celebration of David’s Life will follow at 2 o’clock.
