Mary Ann Young Griffith, 91, of Simpsonville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
Ms. Griffith was born in Greenville to the late Luther Alvin and Lillie Lynch Young. She was a life-long member of Temple Baptist Church and retired from Her Majesty. Mary was a dedicated Chow Chow breeder and owner of Griff Chow Kennel. She loved competing and showing her dogs, earning the 1979 National Top Chow Chow.
Mary is survived by her nieces, Susan Davis (Tommy) and Cindy Lutz (Eric). She was predeceased by two brothers, Bruce Young and Wallace Young; a sister, Kathleen Thackston; and her nephew Ted Thackston.
A private service will be held for the family.
