Lilian Cristina Ares, 76, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 26, 2025.

Ms. Ares was born in Montevideo, Uruguay to the late Angelito Ares and Clementine Bugna. She retired from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals 8 years ago. Lilian was a hard worker who took pride in providing for her two sons. She was a very hip mom who raised her sons to live in reality and accept responsibility for their actions. Lilian enjoyed the simple pleasures in life - like an afternoon tea and a smoke. Gardening was a passion that provided such joy to her, she would spend hours a time planting and caring for her flowers.

Surviving her are a son, Paul Diaz with wife Jessica and two sisters.

A celebration of Lilian’s life will be observed between 6:30 – 8 PM Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service in Fountain Inn.
