Obituary of Sherry Byers

Sherry Justine Pruitt Byers, 66, widow of Thomas Douglas “Tony” Byers, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

Mrs. Byers was born in Greenville to the late Fred Cecil Pruitt, Sr. and Clara Lee Thelma Gravitt Pruitt.  She retired from Woven Electronics.  Sherry enjoyed swimming, painting and shopping.  She was a collector of shoes and a fan of Netflix movies.  Sherry had a wonderful sense of humor and relished the opportunity to laugh and joke around with family and friends.

Surviving are a son, Chris Taylor; a daughter, Jennifer Miles; three brothers, Fred Pruitt, Jr. with wife Susan, Steve Pruitt with wife Judy, and Tony Pruitt with wife Crystal; two sisters, Deloris Barnes with husband Bobby, and Marsha Jones; four grandchildren, Jacob Miles, Joseph Miles, Britney Taylor and Allison Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Sophia; and her beloved dog Molly.

She was predeceased by a brother in Law, Wilbur Jones.
