Tammy Renee Samples Hughes, 57, wife of Robbie D. Hughes for 39 years, joined her Savior on Saturday, February 8, 2025. Born in Clinton, she was a daughter of Debra Kay Etters Hanley and the late Sammy Horace Samples.

Tammy loved all types of crafts. She was a member of Prince of Peace Holiness Church and enjoyed working with women and children groups at the church. She also loved to fish, even when they weren’t biting.

In addition to her husband and mother, Tammy is survived by a brother, Kelly Samples; a special nephew, Terry Hughes, Jr.; and a special niece, Christina Epperson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Samples; and a sister, Samantha Campbell.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Pinelawn Memorial Gardens in Clinton beginning at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Mission of Love – Haiti, 390 Davenport Road, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
