Sara Moree Obituary
Sara Ellen Aiken Moree, 92, widow of Frank L. Moree after 62 years of marriage, went home to her savior on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Columbus Aiken and Elizabeth Stansell Aiken.
Sara enjoyed sewing and often made clothes for her children. She had a green thumb and loved all types of flowers. Sara loved to travel with her family and enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband, Frank. She and her husband started a trade newspaper called The Peddlar, which they ran for many years. Sara also wrote two books and published a daily devotion online.
Sara is survived by her two sons, David Moree and Allen Moree; three daughters, Bonnie Moree, Toni Hendrickson (Art), and Janet Patterson; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Melvin Aiken (Marcie); and two sisters, Guynell Brown and Thelma Ballew (Kirby).
A celebration of life will be held at East Georgia Road Baptist Church on Friday, February 21, 2025 beginning at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
