Brenda Ann Gosnell Whitmire, 82, widow of James Odell Whitmire, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 3, 2025.

Mrs. Whitmire was born in Whitmire, SC to the late William Woodrow Gosnell and Ann Brooks Williams Gosnell. She was a member of the Fountain Inn Church of God and retired from Woodside Mills. Brenda enjoyed reading, listening to her scanner, and keeping up with all the Fountain Inn gossip. She loved trips to the mountains and celebrating the holidays with family and friends.

Surviving are two sons, Wesley Moon and William Whitmire; two daughters, Phyllis Watford with husband Lenwood, and Cheryl Moon; two sisters, Jane Simmons and Judy Crenshaw; and fifteen grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Roxanne Chandler; a brother, Jack Gosnell; and a sister, Dot Dixson.
