Obituary of Mary Henley
Mary Ellen King Henley, 93, widow of David Thomas “Tom” Henley, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 14, 2025.
Mrs. Henley was born in Simpsonville to the late Austin David King and Nell Jones King. She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church and quite active in church activities. Mary’s favorite investment of energy was telling people about her Jesus and his love for them. She loved traveling with tour groups and enjoying seeing new places and things. She collected numerous trinkets throughout her years and proudly displayed them in her home. Mary was known by her grandchildren and so many others who knew her as “Nana” and she cherished each and every one of them.
Surviving are a son, Tommy Henley; a daughter, Bobbie Lollis with husband Mike; five grandchildren, Travis Lollis with wife Roseanne, Leslie Hoffman with husband Marty, Chris Lollis, Heather Henley and Holly Henley; six great-grandchildren, Isabella, Lora, Cailyn, Makenzie, Zoe and Lindsay; and two great-great-grandchildren, Aurora and Ansley. She was predeceased by four brothers, Wilton King, Joyce King, Marion “Bud” King and Lynn King; and two sisters, Betty Hughes and Mickey Davis.
Visitation will be 5-7 o’clock Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service in Fountain Inn.
