Doris Duke Styles, 90, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Jasper Thuron Styles and Mary Frances Messer Styles.

Doris was very active in her church and filled vital roles like Sunday school teacher, Girl’s Auxiliary (GA) teacher, and choir member. She enjoyed activities outside of church to include singing with her sisters in the Styles Sisters Singing Group, working in the yard and flower garden, and fixing Sunday dinners for the family. Doris was a big fan of Antique Road Show. While working for Her Majesty in Mauldin, she was able to travel to Puerto Rico to help establish a production facility.

Doris is survived by a brother, Charlie Styles (Janie); three sisters, Mildred McQueen, Carol Knight (Victor), and Julie Owens (Harold); fourteen nieces and fourteen nephews that she thought of as her own children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Styles, JT Styles, and Darol Styles; and four sisters, Evelyn Jones, Margaret Davenport, Elizabeth Foster, and Diamond Bradshaw.

A visitation will be held at Roper Mountain Baptist Church on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Roper Mountain Baptist Church in Doris’ memory.
