


Obituary of Cindy Smith
Cynthia “Cindy” Jane Johnson Smith, 66, wife of Danny Ray Smith for 25 years, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
Mrs. Smith was born in Arkansas to the late William “Buddy” Johnson and Phennie Jane Walker. Cindy enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, spending time outdoors, and flower gardening. She loved going to the beach and lake and collected rocks, seashells, and amethyst. Cindy was affectionately known as Nana and Ninny by her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Cindy is survived by her son, Mikey Emory (Ashley); her daughter, Lindsey Emory; six grandchildren, Jazzmin Emory, Kayla Emory, Xander Emory, Ethan Emory, Destiny McAbee, and Christian Meredith; two great grandchildren, Kamaree and Josiah; a brother, Lonnie Phillips (Amy); two sisters, Darlene Cole and Tammy Donnette; and her aunt Sue Robertson – who raised her following the death of her mother Phinnie. In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Emory and her brother, Pete Johnson.
A celebration of Cindy’s life will begin at 2 o’clock Saturday at Courts of Praise Church of God of Prophecy. The family will visit with friends following the service.
