Obituary of June Hart

Nancy June Hart, 74, wife of Wayne Thomas Hart for 57 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

Mrs. Hart was born in Woodruff to the late Wofford Harvey Hendrix and Martha Helen Perry Hendrix.  She enjoyed Cross-Word puzzles and watching episodes of The Curse of Oak Island and vintage Western movies.  June loved working with Wayne on model boats in the shop.  Her greatest joy was being Grandma to her grandchildren.  She was a collector of lighthouses and Angel figurines.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Michael Hart, David Hart, and Jeff Hart; a daughter, Nancy Helton with husband Bo; two brothers, Don Hendrix and Wayne Hendrix with wife Cindy; two grandchildren, Micaila and Destiny; two great-grandchildren, Spencer and Mason; and her beloved Lab “Hawkeye”.  She was predeceased by a brother, Terry Hendrix; and a great-granddaughter, Ohana.

A celebration of June’s life will begin at 5 o’clock Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service in Woodruff.  The family will receive friends for 30 minutes prior to the service.  Burial will be at 2 o’clock Sunday at Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.
