Rev. David Jonothon Alexander, 75, husband of Brenda Julian Alexander for 42 years, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

Rev. Alexander was born in Greer to the late Grady Livingston Alexander and Helen Horne Alexander. He was a Vietnam Army veteran and member of Bessie Road Baptist Church. He served as a DAV Chaplin and was a member of Foothills Vietnam Veteran Association. David enjoyed reading, classic westerns and working in the yard.

His wife Brenda is the last surviving member of their family. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronnie Alexander and a sister, Rosemary Smith.

Visitation will be 4:40-5:45pm Sunday at Bessie Road Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 6pm in the chapel of Bessie Road Baptist Church. Burial with military honors, will be 3pm Monday at Mountain View Cemetery, 173 Drace Avenue, Greer, SC 29650.
