David Marcus Beam III, 70, husband to Terri Ellen Reames Beam for 42 years, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Born in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late David Marcus Beam, Jr. and Mary Estelle McGee Beam.
David always put others before himself. He served as a volunteer firefighter in Simpsonville for 27 years. David ran concessions for the Hillcrest High Booster Club for many years and helped the Woodmont Future Farmers of America. David loved serving his community with local mission projects through his church with friends. He loved pier fishing at the beach and was a huge Clemson Tigers fan. David’s greatest joy was being Grandpa to his granddaughters.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Chad Beam with wife Brooke and Russ Beam; and two granddaughters Carleigh and Ellie Reames Beam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Beam.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at First Baptist Simpsonville in the Chapel from 1:00pm – 2:00pm. The celebration of life will follow beginning at 2:00pm.
