Nellie Joyce Qualls Knight Hunt, 88, widow of Horace Charles Knight and Bob Hunt, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Mrs. Hunt was born in Donalds, SC to the late James Leonard Qualls and Frances Lucille Burkett Qualls. She was a long-time member of Rabun Creek Baptist Church where see attended the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class. Joyce loved her church family and serving the community as well, volunteering with the Women’s Missions.  She enjoyed flower gardening and was devoted to her family.

Surviving are four sons, Charles Knight with wife Joyce, Mike Knight with wife Karen, Bill Knight with wife Brenda, and Gerald Knight with wife Debra; a daughter, Libby Roach; a sister, Lidia Mae Hammond; 13 grandchildren, Cindy Massney, Rod Knight, Wayne Roach (Virginia), Charlotte Taylor, Brian Roach (Crissy), Jody Knight, Daniel Knight, Chrystal Wood (Scott), Randy Rhodes, Amanda Knight, Doug Knight, Chasity Knight, and Todd Knight; 28 great-grandchildren, Chloe, Kailey, Ava, McKenzie, Savannah, Brandon, Lillie, Austin, Chris, Logan, Alexander, Elijah, Jonathon, Julia, Nadi (Kody), Torie, Owen, Sawyer, Kannan, Adleigh, Gabe, Drew, Hunter, Brayton, Angelina, Aubrey, Kam, and Lucas; and 4 great-great-grandchildren, Kylyn, Kavani, Everett, and James.  She was predeceased by a daughter in-law, Tonya Knight; a son in-law, Stanley Roach; and four brothers, two brothers, J.W. Qualls, Edward Qualls, Roy Qualls and Sidney Qualls.

A celebration of Joyce’s life will begin at 3 o’clock Sunday at Rabun Creek Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Jayson Payne.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Ware Shoals Cemetery.
