Nancy Jane Young Pruitt, 73, wife of Gene Pruitt for 31 years, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

Mrs. Pruitt was born in Fountain Inn to the late Charles Henry Young and Rachel Inez Jenkins Young.  She retired from Laurens Glass Company.  Nancy enjoyed ceramics, crossword puzzles, reading and riding motorcycles with Gene.  She loved time spent with family at Lake Greenwood riding jet-skis and boating around the lake.  She was a collector of lighthouses and cherished being “Grandma” to her grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Chris Norris with wife Missy, Frank Long, and Lonnie Long with wife Lisa; two daughters, Brandy Baysek with husband Mark, and Andi Pruitt; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a son, Mavin Long; a daughter, Angie Baucom; and a brother, Jason Young.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will begin at 1 o’clock Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
