Lois Cooper Cumbie, 85, widow of the late Allen D. Cumbie, Sr., went peacefully in her home to be with the Lord on, Monday, June 9th, 2025.

Mrs. Cumbie was born in Georgetown County to the late Willie Leo Cooper and Martha Ann Johnson Cooper.  She was a member of Mauldin Church of God.  Lois loved to cook and feed people and had a loving heart to help anyone.  She loved to fellowship with anyone she met and solving her search-a-word books.  She enjoyed travel, but her greatest enjoyment was being a grandmother.

Surviving are her daughter, Stephanie Cumbie Lovinggood with husband Eddie; two sons, Allen “Dempsey” Cumbie, Jr. with wife Kim, and Russell Lee Cumbie; a sister, Shirley Newton with husband Ronnie; a brother, Bernice Cooper with wife Burba; twelve grandchildren, William Bradley Taylor, Alfis “Al” Brooks Powell II with wife Kristie, Miranda Nicole Postulka with husband Andrew, Dakota Cumbie Akhmedov with Travis Galloway, Jacob Allen Cumbie with wife Bailey Cumbie, Hannah Denise Cumbie with Matt Heil, Emma Deal, Zachery Cole Cumbie, Elijah Cumbie, Autumn Cumbie, and J.J. Cumbie; and twelve great-grandchildren, William Blake Taylor, Alfis “Lil Al” Brooks Powell, III, Helen Nicole Postulka, George Joseph Postulka, Mason James Heil, Kael Alexander Akhmedov, Olivia Faith Cumbie Moore, Eli Galloway, Owen Galloway, Hailey Deal, James Deal and Harper Deal.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Suzette Juwan Cumbie; and two brothers, Lorenzo Cooper and Carthell Cooper.

A celebration of Lois’ life will begin at 4 o’clock Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Ronald Newton.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
