Ray Allen Leslie, 73, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 22, 2025. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late William Leonard Leslie and Annie Mae McDougle Leslie.
Ray retired from Flour Corporation as a structural draftsman after 44 years of service. In his spare time, Ray became an accomplished woodworker creating anything from small projects to furniture. He was a football fan and enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball. Ray was a big supporter of his grandchildren and more recently his great nephew at numerous sporting events. He looked forward to weekly Saturday breakfast with his brother, Larry, and enjoyed watching his brother, Dan, restore old cars and tractors. Ray also enjoyed going to the annual Dacusville Heritage Association Farm Show which featured an antique tractor parade.
Ray is survived by his daughter, Sara Farley and husband, Greg; two grandchildren, Amanda Farley and Will Farley; and two brothers, Larry Leslie and wife, Tena and Dan Leslie and wife Leslie. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Leslie, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Fletcher Funeral Service from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. A private graveside service will be at Graceland Memorial Park on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ray’s honor to American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615 or a charity of the donor’s choosing.
