William Vaughn Brooks, 85, widow of Joyce Brenda Mahaffey Brooks, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 11, 2025.  Born in Maple Meadow, WV, he was a son of the late Ott Lee Brooks and Lona Faye Bailey Bunch.

Vaughn served in the US Army after graduating from high school.  He was a no non-sense man and enjoyed the simple things in life.  He retired from Cryovac after many years of faithful service.

Vaughn is survived by his children, Michael Books (Rhonda), Susan Harrison (Dan), Johnny Southern (Dana), Wade Southern (Marcey), Rodney Southern (Terra), and Ava Chandler (Gregg); and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Graceland East Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel from 10:30 am – 11:30 am.  A Celebration of Life will follow beginning at 11:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Vaughn’s honor to Miracle Hill Ministries, 490 South Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville, SC 29607.
