Rufus Fuller Obituary

Rufus Bennett Fuller, 81, husband of the late Mary Ann Knight Fuller, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.


 


Mr. Fuller was born in Fair Play, SC to the late Clarence Bennett Fuller and Pauline Richardson Fuller. Rufus, affectionately known as Pa, was a giving, kind hearted person.  He was an avid bingo player and enjoyed fishing and watching Judge Judy.  He was a huge fan of NASCAR, the Atlanta Braves, and the Clemson Tigers.


 


Surviving are two sons, Ricky Fuller and Marvin Thompson; two daughters, Misty Fuller and Kristy Thompson (Tim); a sister, Annette Moore; two grandchildren, Cody Fuller (Destiny) and Caity Marco; three great-grandchildren, Bennett Fuller, Hope Fuller, and Addie Fuller.  He was predeceased by five brothers, Clarence Fuller, Truman Fuller, Junior Fuller, Roger Fuller, and Ralph Fuller; and two sisters, Bonnie Warren and Sue Warren.


 


The family would like to thank Mary and Erica with V-Care Hospice, who were like daughters to him, for taking care of him.


 


A celebration of Rufus’ life will begin at 11 o’clock Tuesday in the chapel of Fletcher Funeral Service.  Entombment will be in the mausoleum of Cannon Memorial Park.


 


Memorials in Rufus’ honor may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
