Bonita Grace “Bonnie” McCollum Beason, 69, wife of Dennis Allen Beason for 51 years, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
Mrs. Beason was born in Greenville to Annie Grace Simmons McCollum and the late Joseph Austin “Joe” McCollum. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and served many years as the church pianist for Clear Spring Baptist Church. Bonnie enjoyed music and singing in the choir. In her youth, she was a member of The Happy Four Girls Quartet. She was a faithful donor to the Blood Connection and to Locks of Love. Bonnie loved reading, crossword puzzles, cross-stich, and decorating for the holidays. She was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Clemson Tigers.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Chad Beason with wife Christy, Chase Beason, and Clayton Beason with wife Salem; ten grandchildren, Brianna Wyatt with husband Austin, Tana Clark, Chelsea Yarborough, Bekah Clark, Savannah Beason, Cheyenne Beason, Christa Beason, Addy Beason, Kyle Beason, and Laramie Beason; and four great-grandchildren, Kenna, Harper, Ryder, Bryce and Jaxon. She was predeceased by a son, Dennis Bradley Beason; and a brother, Danny McCollum.
A celebration of Bonnie’s life will begin at 12 noon Thursday at Monaghan United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Graceland East Memorial Park.
