Dianne Elizabeth Reece James, 79, wife of Ralph Allen James, passed peacefully in her sleep after an extended illness.  The family is at peace knowing she is fully restored and with her heavenly Father.  Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Harold Dean Reece and Mildred Elizabeth Whitaker Reece.

Dianne attended the Greenville Hospital College of Practical Nursing and worked for many years as an LPN.  She enjoyed watching and taking pictures of the 30 plus species of birds spotted on their property and taking pictures in and around her iris garden.  Dianne also enjoyed collecting dolls and angels and fishing.  Most of all, she loved spending time with family and babysitting the grandchildren.

Dianne is survived by two sons, Tim James and wife, Margie, and Michael James; her daughter, Chrystal Seiple and husband, Brian; nine grandchildren, Drew James, Camille James, Tyler Lucas, Jesse James, Natalie James, and Madeline James, Tori Elmer (Jacob), Christian Gutierrez, and Destiny Desha; five great grandchildren, Gracie, Iris, Asher, Akria, and Scarlett; a brother, Haskell Reece and wife, Elaine; and a sister, Cathy Lamar and husband, John.

A visitation will be at Unity Baptist Church on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm.  A celebration of life will follow beginning at 3:00 pm.
