Roger Dale Fortenberry, 70, husband of Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Macin Fortenberry for 24 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

Mr. Fortenberry was born in Gray Court to the late Howard Dewitt Fortenberry and Doris Edna South Fortenberry. Roger was a Woodruff native, and avid Clemson fan. He enjoyed fishing, and reading western books.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Rebecca Fortenberry Riley (El Talley); granddaughters, Samantha Padgett (Will), Heather Ballengee (Chris Emmons), and step-daughter, Angie Lee; great-grandchildren, Aneilia, Isaiah M., Piper, Brittany, Elijah, Isaiah A. and Rylan; and his siblings, Thomas Fortenberry (Vicki), Brenda Thomas and Michael Fortenberry (Lee).

The family will be at the home of Rebecca Fortenberry Riley, 218 Hunter Road, Woodruff, SC 29388.

A memorial service will be held 4pm Saturday,  November 22, 2025 at Fletcher Funeral Service, Woodruff. The family will receive friends an hour prior.
