Tony Alvin Chappell, 59, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Mr. Chappell was born in Simpsonville to the late Alvin Richard Chappell and Joyce Faye Barton Chappell. He was a kind-hearted person and a tinkerer at heart – always working on something somewhere. Tony loved working on cars and small engines and was known by many as #23 on the go-cart circuits.
Surviving are a son, Matthew Jarvis-Chappell with wife Heather; a daughter, Lexis Barber with husband Jonathan; a brother, Terry Chappell; a sister, Tina Greene with husband Phillip; and three grandchildren, Opal Jarvis-Chappell, Malachi Barber, and Wren Barber. He was predeceased by a son, Mark Chappell.
A celebration of Tony’s life will begin at 2 o’clock Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be held at 3 o’clock Monday at Cannon Memorial Park.
