Michael Leon “Mike” Thompson, 66, husband of Lisa Lindley Thompson for 40 years, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
Mr. Thompson was born in Greenville to the late James Leon Thompson and Betty Jean King Thompson. He was a member of Daventon Baptist Church. Mike retired from Kemet Electronics and spent his time tinkering around the house and working on tractors. He loved going to tractor shows and auctions and checking out the yard-sales. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and collecting antiques. He was a Clemson Tigers fan; however, his greatest joy was being “Pop” to his grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Brian Thompson with wife Callie, and David Thompson with wife Ashton; five grandchildren, Ruthie, Corbin, Wyatt, Ava and Stella; and two beloved cousins, Martha McCuen and Debbie Taylor.
The family will receive friends between 4 – 6 o’clock Tuesday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
A celebration of Mike’s life will begin at 1 o’clock Wednesday at Daventon Baptist Church in Pelzer, SC. Burial will be private.
Memorials in Mike’s honor may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL, 33131.
