Mary Sue Cox, 81, widow of Anthony William Cox, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Grady Wilson and Myrtle Mae Bruce Wilson.
Mary enjoyed plants of all kinds. As a young adult she was an accomplished bowler participating in league play at Brunswick Lanes in Taylors and Peach Bowl Lanes in Greer. Mary was also a loyal Clemson fan. Her passion, however, was her faith and church. Mary could always be found volunteering at her church. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and helped with fundraisers and bake sales. She was known for her lemon pound cake. Mary loved gospel music and driving around looking at Christmas lights.
Mary is survived by two sons, Tony Bouchillon and Ricky Bouchillon; a daughter, Keely Clark with husband, Jason; four grandchildren, Antonio Bouchillon, Austin Graham, Hayden Graham, and Mckenzie Bouchillon; four great grandchildren, Levi, Camden, Cayden, and Haddi; a brother, Thomas Wilson; and a sister, Linda Wyatt. She was preceded in death by a son, Lamar Aubrey Bouchillon; a brother, Jimmy Wilson; and a sister, Martha Capps.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Ware Place Church of God from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. A celebration of life will follow beginning at 12:00 pm. Mary will be laid to rest with her late husband at Five Forks Baptist Church following the service.
