Mircea Gheorge Mihai, 58, husband of Liliana Petrescu Mihai for 22 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Mr. Mihai was born in Brasov, Romania to the late Mircea Alexandru Mihai and Maria Cenan Mihai. He was an alumnus of the University of Transylvania Brasov, where he received a Master’s in mechatronics. He was an employee of Bertrandt US, Inc. (BMW) in Greenville. He was a man of faith and was blessed with musical talent. He enjoyed singing in the choir, playing the piano, the guitar, and listening to classical music. He loved drawing and this is the reason why later he chood to work as design engineer. He loves to learn something new. He learned on his own to play guitar and accordion. He loved the mountains. Mircea also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was a kindhearted man, devoted Christian Orthodox, loving husband, exceptional father, brother and friend. He loved to help others and his favorite words were: If you give, you will store up treasures in heaven.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his twin sons, Anthony Mihai and Andrew Mihai; and a sister, Silvia Ruprecht with husband, Thomas, a sister-in-law Letitia Parvu, brother-in-law Mircea Parvu and two nieces Andreea Parvu and Andra Petrutiu.
A wake will be held between 4 and 6 o’clock Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service - Woodruff.
Funeral services will begin at 2 o’clock Friday in the chapel of Fletcher Funeral Service - Woodruff. Burial will follow in Stribling Cemetery. Following the burial, the family invites friends and family back to the funeral home for a catered reception.
