Teddy Lee Green, Sr., 76, husband of Vickie Mae Holden Green for 24 years, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2025.
Mr. Green was born in Greenville to the late Joe Bill “J.B.” Green and Annie Sue Harvey Green. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Ted worked with his father in the family business, J.B. Green Trucking Company. He enjoyed being on the tractor and spending time with family. Ted enjoyed trips to Disney World and the beach; however, his greatest joy was being Papa George to his grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Ted Green, Jr. with wife Cindy, and Claude Massey with wife Frankie; a daughter, Melinda Walls; a sister Brenda Gardo with husband Guy; nine grandchildren, Kyle Green with wife Michelle, Elizabeth Higgins with husband Adam, Rebekah Stewart with husband Carter, Aaron Massey with wife Taylor, Blake Cunningham, Ivy Massey with fiancé Nick, Carter Johnson, Dalton Walls with wife Dawnyel, and Karrington Walls; and five great-grandchildren, Trey, Parker, Holden, Waylon, and Oliver. He was predeceased by his first wife, Charlene Thompson Green; a brother, Larry Green; and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Walls.
A celebration of Ted’s life will begin at 2 o’clock Thursday in the chapel of Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Hillside Baptist Church Cemetery.
