Homero Teran Estrada Obituary

Homero Teran Estrada, 70, widower of Maria Carlos Pascual Hilario, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2025.  Born in Tacupa, Michoacán in Mexico, he was a son of Nicolaza Estrada Zavala and the late Franco Teran Hernandez.


Homero had a great sense of humor and always made the family laugh.  He was known for giving everyone in the family nicknames.  Homero enjoyed watching soccer and baseball and was a huge fan of Cruz Azul soccer and Dodgers baseball.  Homero enjoyed listening to music and his favorite artist was Las Fenix.  Everyone knew he loved to dance and he was a great dancer.  He often went for walks in the park and was proud of his red truck.  More recently he enjoyed going to Cracker Barrel and loved their pancakes.


Homero is survived by three daughters, Marianela Teran Pascual (Isidro Vergara), Patricia Teran Pascual, and Ademi Teran Pascual (Jimmy Mota); six grandchildren, Zaiden Vergara (Brandon Barksdale), Eron Vergara, Homero Vergara (Kalee Salcedo), Andrew Mato, Brandon Mato, and Bryan Mato; a great grandchild, Sayid Barksdale Vergara; and seven siblings, Juan Teran Estrada, Obdulia Teran Estrada, Angela Teran de Valencia, Noel Teran Estrada, Simon Teran Estrada, Misael Teran Estrada, and Narcedulia Teran Estrada.  He was preceded in death by three siblings, Ismael Teran Estrada, Lorenzo Teran Estrada, and Franco Teran Estrada.


A visitation will be held at Fletcher Funeral Service on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.  The funeral mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Laurens on Saturday, December 13, 2025 beginning at 1:00 pm.  Homero will be laid to rest at Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park following the funeral mass.
