Angela Burgos Arellano, 83, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 14, 2025. She was the widow of, Cornelio Arellano.

Mrs. Arellano was born in Guerrero, Mexico to the late Rufino Burgos and Isabel Portillo Campos Burgos. She migrated to the United States in order to continue care for her children. Angela was active in her faith, and was a parishioner of St. Mary Magdelene Catholic Church. She loved music, cooking, and sewing. Angela was strong-willed, a “finder of means”, an entrepreneur, and devoted caregiver. She had a passion for handcrafted sewing goods and Mexican baked goods.  She was the heart of the family, the holder of traditions, teacher of life’s true values, and affectionately known as “Gelita” and “Güera” by her children and grandchildren.

She was the mother of ten children, Sabino, Placido, Lourdes, Marcos, Hermes, Eloy, Misael, Octaviana, Ramona, and Maximina; grandmother to thirty-five grandchildren; great-grandmother to thirty-four great-grandchildren; and a sister to Pedro, Nicolas, Victoria and Ediceria. 

The family will receive friends 4-6pm Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service, 6995 Hwy101 N Woodruff, SC 29388.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 2pm Friday at St. Mary Magdelene Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Stribling Cemetery.
