Martha Louise Haynie Hawkins, 78, wife of Thomas Eugene Hawkins, Sr., went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 19, 2025. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Everette Haynie and Martha Frances Kellett Haynie.
Martha was a fan of all types of movies from horror to Disney and enjoyed classic rock music. She enjoyed many activities including horseback riding, bowling, and dancing the Shag. She loved going out to eat and spending time at the beach or poolside. By far, Martha’s greatest joy came from being “Mimaw” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Martha is survived by two sons, Thomas Hawkins, Jr. with wife Janice, and Bryan Hawkins with wife Jocelyn; a daughter Sherry Jones with husband Eric; ten grandchildren, Dalton Hawkins, Haley Hawkins, Alyson Hawkins, Emelia Hawkins, Dallas Bayne, Daniel Jones (Barbie), Stacey Riden, Jennifer Riden, Jessie Riden, and Aaron Riden; eight great- grandchildren; and two sisters, Beverly Cannon and Alison Revis. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Riden.
A celebration of Martha’s life will be held at Fletcher Funeral Service on Friday, December 26, 2025 beginning at 1:00 pm. The family will visit with friends following the service.
