Bonita Marie “Bonnie” Hodges Buffington, 72, wife of John Milton Buffington for 53 years, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 22, 2025.

Mrs. Buffington was born in Greenwood, SC to the late James Eugene Hodges and Marilyn Beatrice Clardy Hodges.  She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church.  Bonnie loved her pets and watching Hummingbirds.  She enjoyed Arts & Crafts, reading, gardening, and trips to the mountains.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Michael Baisden with wife Erin, Corey Buffington with wife Angie, and Brent Buffington with wife Christine; a brother, Jerry Cobb; and seven grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a brother, Gene Hodges.

A celebration of Bonnie’s life will begin at 1 o’clock Saturday, January 10th, at Columbia Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
