Lorene Dale Dove, 96, widow of Billy Gene Dove, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 4, 2026, while a patient at McCall Hospice House.

Mrs. Dove was born in Jenkins, KY to the late Hiram Dale and Roberta Smith Dale.  She was a member of Emmanuel Praise & Worship.  Lorene rejoiced in the Lord Jesus her entire life.  She longed to be in the house of the Lord and to worship her Savior and Heavenly Father.  Lorene was an alumnus of Radford College.  She retired from the Wise County School Board where she served in various roles.  She enjoyed traveling and time with family.

Surviving are a son, Dale Dove with wife Teresa; a daughter, Cathy Snow with husband Mike; and a grandson, Seth Snow with wife Kristi.

A celebration of Lorene’s life will begin at 2 o’clock Thursday in the chapel of Fletcher Funeral Service.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Cannon Memorial Park.
