Ronald Eugene “Ron” Nixon, 63, passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

Mr. Nixon was born in Woodruff to the late Billy Joe Stewart and Margaret Jane Boyter Stewart. Ron retired from Frontier Communications after 22 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, online gaming, walking and listening to rock music.

Surviving, is his fiancée, Hope Clark; a daughter, Meagan Nixon Lanford (Jason); a son, Zachary Nixon (Alicia); a brother, Timothy “Tim” Nixon (Elaine); a sister, Sharon Eudy (Karl); and six grandchildren, Elizabeth Lanford, Maddisyn Lanford,  Ethan Lanford, Hunter Nixon, Kayden Nixon and Mackenzie Nixon.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held from 2-4pm Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service, Woodruff.
