Brenda Kay Patterson Pace, 81, wife of Michael Henry “Mike” Pace for 64 years, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Mrs. Pace was born in Cross Anchor to the late Raymond R. Patterson and Alsie Adeline Roper Patterson.  She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.  Brenda kept a spotless house and loved the outdoors and working in her yard.  She enjoyed cooking, birdwatching, flower gardening, and sitting on the porch listening to her windchimes.  Brenda was a collector of angel figurines and bells; however, her greatest collection was her grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as Nanny.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Michael Pace, Jr. with wife Tammy; three daughters, Stacey Pace with companion Billy, Teresa Thomason with companion Phillip, and Debra Pace; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by three sisters, Barbara McDaniels, Grace Forrester and Ruby Patterson.

A celebration of Brenda’s life will begin at 1 o’clock Wednesday in the chapel of Fletcher Funeral Service in Woodruff.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.  Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Heritage Memorial Gardens in Roebuck.
