Ruth Anne Goodwin Collins, 84, widow of William Richard Collins, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

Mrs. Collins was born in Duncan, NC to the late Tom Thumb Goodwin and Dorothy Ray Taylor Goodwin.  She was a caretaker at heart who enjoyed helping others and serving as a Nanny for many years.  Ruth enjoyed reading her bible, meeting people, and collecting stamps.

Surviving are three daughters, Kelly Reynolds with husband Randy, Karen Dyer with husband Christopher, and Kristy Johnson with husband Justin; two brothers, Thomas Goodwin with wife Inga, and James Goodwin with wife Jean; a sister, Betty Betts; and four grandsons, Andrew Reynolds with wife Jessica, Matthew Reynolds with wife Elizabeth, Zachary Reynolds, and Michael Dyer.  She was predeceased by a brother, John Goodwin; and a sister, Lois Tillman.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will begin at 4 o’clock Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service in Fountain Inn.
