Virginia Faye Gregory Cogdill, 102, widow of Larry Blakely Cogdill, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 28, 2026. 

Mrs. Cogdill was born in Woodruff to the late William Andrew Gregory and Dorcas Reynolds Gregory.  She was a caretaker at heart who loved her family and being a Granny.  Faye enjoyed crochet and dancing. She loved flowers and anyone who knew her would remark about her green thumb.

Surviving are three daughters, Nancy Kennedy, Bonnie Wood with husband Charles, and Kristie Lawson with husband Dennis; six grandchildren, Robin Beck with husband Dale, Mark Kennedy with wife Tonya, Renee Alexander with husband Allen, Michael Waddell with wife Stacey, Tammy Cannon with husband David, and Tim Waddell with wife Shannon; thirteen great- grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will begin at 4 o’clock Tuesday at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Enoree.

Pallbearers are her grandsons - Christopher Alexander, Allen Michal Alexander, Lee Waddell, Michael Waddell, Michael Tucker, and Doug Lawson.
