Darryl Tavis Green, 58, husband of Valarie Green for 15 years, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
Mr. Green was born in Greenville, SC to the late Patsy Elaine Franklin and Ronald “Ronnie” Keith Green. Darryl dedicated his days to Kelletts Well Boring where he worked as a well digger. In his free time, he was an avid outdoorsman and loved deer hunting, being down on the water at Greenwood Lake, hanging out by his pear and apple trees, and stealing fishing spots from his sons. He also loved to tinker with various skills and collectibles, such as woodworking, collecting precious metals, and painting pictures. Something he enjoyed above all was chowing down on some Girl Scout Cookies. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Tavis Green with wife Angelik, Neal Green, and John Gibson; a daughter, Alexandria Green; 14 grandchildren, Allen White, Austin Henderson, Alyssa Scruggs with husband Justin, Amber Mabie, Autumn Mabie, Josh Green, Isabella Green, Tyler Green, Caroline Surrett, Kelsey Green, Jordyn Hall, Jake Hall, Aria Green, and Dean Gibson; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry “Bean” Chumbley; and a sister, Cindy Maldonado. He was predeceased by his daughter, Crystal Gibson.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 5-7 PM at Fletcher Funeral Service. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026 beginning at 1:30 PM at Fletcher Funeral Service. Interment at Greenville Memorial Gardens will follow the service.
